The Story So Far

5th August 1999 – Where it all begins, Jounty’s Jaunt “JJ99” starts the ball rolling with a dozen Se7ens listers turning up in Belfast for a tour in Ireland.

7th August 1999 – Andrew “Vinnie” Barriskell starts to organise the 2000 tour in Scandinavia, whilst worse for wear in a Sligo bar on JJ99

14th August 1999 – Scandi2000 mailing list starts

30th August 1999 – The initial planning for Scandi2000 starts including first draft of the route

5-13th August 2000 – 2000 miles in Scandinavia, four track sessions, 26 cars, 13 cases of beer, 20 cases of soft (battery acid) energy drinks, several hundred litres of fuel, several sets of tyres, great people and some HUGE smiles – that was Scandi2000!

14th August 2000 – End of Scandi2000, everybody arrives safely back in the UK, not mentioning the various participants from Norway, Sweden and Finland.

17th August 2000 – Andy “Billy Whizz” Robertson starts the ball rolling for Euro2001 trip. An outline plan starts to emerge. Trip to France / some Alpine hairpins and tunnels / Italy (trip about 10-12 days including 3-4 track days).

22nd August 2000 – The Euro2001 tour has now its own mailing list server, you can join the list if you would like to come on the tour or contact Andy Robertson for more details.

21st January 2001 – The Euro2001 website goes live.

11th May 2001 – The Haggisers invade Scotland.

22nd May 2001 – Discussion starts about USA2002.

August 2002 – Finland 2002 and the tourers make a return to the land of the cheap trackday.

17th May 2002 – The Haggisers invade Scotland...again!
