Roll Up Roll Up ladies & gentlemen & let me set your imagination on fire with
the monster of all se7en tours that's planned for
2003.............the se7en list is about to invade....... ITALY!!!
Yup the pasta lined paradise who's people are passionate about chianti & cars
are about to have their senses overloaded with the sight of se7ens.
14 DAYS, 3000 MILES
Unlike previous tours this is a full 14 day trip, not about tracks (well
maybe one) , but about driving down through Europe from the rendevous at Spa,
through Germany, Switzerland & Austria into Italy where we can enjoy the finest
of Europe's mountain roads as far south as Tuscanny, where the wines are plenty,
the sun shines........and they make ferraris!!!. We then head west to Pisa &
along the coast of the Ligurian Sea where we might even manage an excursion into
Monaco before heading north through France, and the possibility of a track day
before heading home on the ferry.
Having enjoyed the experience of mountain passes in a se7en on the Euro tour,
we thought you may like a few more......so here's small selection of passes on
the route:- Kuhtai, Gerlos, Gross Glockner, Plockner, San Antonio, Stelvio,
Castillon, Turini, Vesubie, Tinee, Bonnette, D'Iseran, Little St Bernard Pass,
Great St Bernard Pass, Aosta, Bernina Pass.........are we drooling yet?
But wait, there's more........the run from Maranello to Florence will use a
chunk of the old Mille Miglia route and the first day of driving north from
Monaco will use 6 of the 8 Monte Carlo rally stages...with added twiddly bits
deemed unsuitable for rally cars. :)))
Imagine "When you are old you will be able to tell your grand children how
you dared to drive part of the famous Mille Miglia run from Maranello to
Florence, risking all in the pursuit of adventure. When they look at you with
awe and wonder, you can go on to tell them of your exploits driving 6 of the 8
Monte Carlo Rally stages, as part of the legendary "Se7ens Posse". (Of course
for some of you it will also be necessary to explain to you grand kids what a
motor car was
..)."
As i said, this tour is about TOURING but make no mistakes, it is a long tour
and we are covering the bext part of 3000 miles , however such is the abundance
of fine roads the route offers direct passage from stop to stop or alternate
"scenic" passages for the more adventurous.
THE DATES - 18.07.03 - 02.08.03 inc.
As always, we are investigating our support vehicle options in order to have
the necessary back up should we encounter the odd mechanical....err glitch &
hotels are being booked right now. The UK departure date is Friday 18th July &
returning Saturday 2nd August. Ferries are being looked into & we are most
likely to be departing from Dover or Portsmouth.
THE COSTS
Exact costs are going to be dependent on final numbers however at an estimate
it will be in the region of:
1 person & Car = 850UKP
2 People & Car = 1170UKP
These figures are approximates & include Ferries, Hotels, support vehicle &
tracks. They DO NOT include petrol & food. We have already made reservations at
the hotels but these need to be confirmed with deposits. Although this tour may
seem more expensive it is also the longest tour we've done to date & it's being
organised by se7eners for se7eners so once again we benefit from maximum value
for money.
